watching rainbows

while we were driving up north through the galilee we followed this rainbow for a long while. it was stunning. probably the most beautiful and perfect rainbow i ever saw. it was so close, we could see where it ended, and most of the time it felt as if we were just about to drive under it. as the road took turns, up hill and downhill, sometimes it would disappear and then, suddenly, out of the blue, it would once again shine right in front of us.

it's crazy how excited and happy it made me. i felt it materialized just for us, like it was saying to me "hey, you think the land and the sky is beautiful? you are happy to sit there and watch the lush green hills as far as the eye can see; the amazing cloud formations ever changing as the wind sends them rolling by; the sun peaking through, creating illuminated spots of light moving fast across the fields? then you just watch me!"

and so we did.

  15. just like in my favorite lullaby:

Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high,
There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
