it had been years since my last visit to moens klint. i've been wanting to go for the last few years when visiting denmark, but just never seemed to get around to make the two hour drive down south from copenhagen.
this summer D and i finally went. just the two of us, leaving the boys back home with my family. it was awesome! and the weather was sun and rain, gray sky, dark clouds changing to blue sky and brightness every moment. and i like that.

we celebrated rosh hashana, the jewish new year, a couple of days ago. i hope this year will bring some goodness to this part of the world, but i'm honestly not so sure it will happen anytime soon. which is so sad. i truly wish that a miracle will happen and two states will live side by side in peace. if i could decide palestine would be declared a state today. not that it would do anything about all the challenges on the ground, but at least in theory we'd be moving somewhere.
happy new year.
Wow, looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally agree with you about the 2 states!
(...from a expat who lived in Israel)
trinsch!
ReplyDeletelooks like a place worth visiting! so beautiful. i wouldn't have thought it was in denmark, wow...
anyhow.
i agree with you. and think about it alot. but i also doubt it will happen. and it saddens me so much. how can the situation ever start improving like this? there has to be a step taken.
i am in il, mostly in the north but also in the center and traveling in between. would love to catch up for that mojito some day?!
xx.
Stunning photos, what a dramatic looking place. I especially like the trees.
ReplyDeleteI agree as well, and hope that peace and a resolution will someday happen.
the sea is best in cloudy weather, i often think. the beaches emptier, the sky more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteand yes, a happy new year to you and your family. i do believe big changes can come about suddenly, unexpectedly. good changes. let's hope one of those is around the corner.
that cliff view! breathtaking!
ReplyDeletehappy new year to you and may your wishes come through.
